“More than 200 children now have chance to learn to read, write and do arithmetic
Ninon Völkers, the wife of Christian Völkers, travelled with her mother Ingrid van Aalst to the village of Agbetiko in Togo, West Africa, to take part in the opening ceremony of the E&V Charity primary school there on 6 September. Ingrid van Aalst, who was the initiator of the E&V Charity project, cut through the white ribbon and handed over the keys to the school building as part of the official ceremony to mark the opening of the school. Ninon Völkers and Ingrid van Aalst were also given the privilege of being named as honorary citizens of the village. They wore traditional African clothing that had been specially made for them for the occasion.
Founded in 2008, the E&V Charity raised sufficient funds through donations….”
